Dear friends,

The Tango scene in Singapore is set for some exciting happenings in the next couple of months. Round the corner we will be seeing the Argentinian couple Leandro Oliver and Laila Rezk (see announcement below), who has already made a big impression in Hong Kong during their earlier visit this year.

Stay tuned for announcements of more events in November. We look forwarding to seeing you at the workshops or milongas!

Weekly Events

Milonga: 8.30pm - 12.00am every Tuesday

Venue: Xen Bar
DJ: Louis
"Dance to music made for dancers from the Golden Age of Tango!"

Practica: 9.15pm - 12.00am every Friday

Venue: Xen Bar
"Work on the elements that will turn you into a more enjoyable dance partner for the milongas."

!! Note that because of the upcoming workshop, the milonga on October 6 will commence at 9.30pm instead. !!

Workshop Announcement (organised by tango-oriental)

The young dynamic couple Laila and Leandro (http://www.lailayleandro.com.ar/home_eng.htm) will be in Singapore from October 6 to October 10 for workshops and privates. They are teachers with excellent credentials and certainly not to be missed!

Description from the organiser:

"Laila and Leandro are truly a couple not to be missed. Their expertise in Tango is without doubt and is internationally recognised culminating in their being appointed as Adjudicators in the International Competition hosted lately in Japan in 2009. We hope that our Tangueros in Singapore will take advantage of their presence here in attending workshops and privates conducted by the Stars."

Group Class Schedule: S$30 per workshop or package of all 4 workshops for S$100.

October 6 (Tuesday)

8.00pm - 9.30pm Complex sequences in close embrace

October 8 (Tuesday)

8.00pm - 9.30pm Movement combinations for dancing in milonga

October 10 (Tuesday)

12.00pm - 1.30pm Control and physical techniques 2.00pm - 3.30pm Movements with changes in energy
