Over the next two weeks, the Tango calendar of Singapore is packed with lots of activities!

Tango Madness

Firstly, a reminder that Tango Madness 2 (11-20 May), organised by Tango Oriental, will be starting this week. This event features workshops and performances by three wonderful couples:

• Roberto Reis & Natalia Lavandeira
• Francisco Forquera & Carolina Bonaventura
• Arturo Gutierrez & Ana Wertheimer

Over the course of a week, four milongas will be held:

1. Opening Milonga (May 14, 2009 8:00 pm - Azzucar Club Clark Quay) - Special Performance by: Roberto Reis & Natalia Lavandeira
2. Gala Performance (May 15, 2009 7:00 pm - Upper Club Chijmes)
3. Milonga Sentimental (May 16, 2009 9:00 pm - Abrazos Dance Studio) - Special Performance by: Arturo Gutierrez & Ana Weertheimer
4. Farewell Milonga (May 17, 2009 9:00 pm - Azzucar Club Clark Quay) - Special Performance by: Francisco Forquera & Carolina Bonaventura

Tango Elegancia

This will be closely followed by Tango Elegancia, the major annual event hosted by IXI Danza, featuring the maestros Javier Rodriguez and Stella Misse. They will be conducting workshops over the weekend of 23-24 May. The grand milonga will be held on 23 May. If you still have not registered for the milonga, act now because it promises to be a night of wonderful dancing!

Grand milonga: (Saturday 23 May, 8.30pm-1am): Highlight : Performances to 3 songs by the maestros! Show time approximately 11pm. Venue : Upper Club at Chijmes.
Price of entry includes 2 house pour drinks.
